About Nose Art of Korea

Nose Art of Korea (NAOK) is a site dedicated to the documentation of and curation of Korean War era nose art. Nose art is an example of art and popular expression, as well as a record of the past.

In the Korean War, nose art was popular on A-26 and B-29 bombers. Due to changes in military policies and changing attitudes toward the representation of women, the amount of nose art featuring scantily clad women has declined significantly after the Korean War, and is rarely seen today.

This site is still under construction. Currently we're looking for detailed submissions. Locating details about aircraft can be tricky, but there are many resources on the internet for finding history on air craft and their nose art.
